Rain in the Face – Lakota Sioux War Chief at the Little Bighorn
Model: TRW037
Scale: 1/30
Finish: Matte
This striking figure captures Rain in the Face, one of the most renowned Lakota Sioux war chiefs and a close ally of Sitting Bull. Mounted on his painted war pony, rifle in hand, Rain in the Face is depicted in the midst of the fierce Battle of the Little Bighorn, June 1876. His expression and posture reflect both determination and ferocity — a leader fighting to defend his people’s land and way of life.
Born in the Dakota Territory, Rain in the Face was celebrated for his bravery and skill as a warrior. He joined Sitting Bull’s band in the spring of 1876 and fought with distinction at the Little Bighorn, reportedly firing his Winchester repeating rifle from horseback. Legend holds that he avenged earlier wrongs by personally slaying and mutilating Tom Custer, the general’s brother — a story that has since become part of the battle’s grim mythology.
Beautifully hand-painted with authentic tribal details, beadwork, and a feathered war bonnet, this King & Country 1/30 scale matte finish figure vividly brings to life one of the most dramatic figures of the Indian Wars.
