The Trojan marching band began in the fall of 1880. Today the band consists of 275 student musicians and auxiliaries. It was the Trojan marching band the developed the unique "drive-it" style of marching and the "rocket-chart" sound that has been copied by collegiate programs across the country. The Trojan marching band is sometimes referred to as "Hollywood's Band" as a result of their Southern California location, their multiple silver screen credits, and their long time tradition of performing alongside great musicians and rock bands of their times.
Description of the Marching Band Set:
This 12 piece set includes one drum major, one saxophone, one flute, one clarinet, one trumpet, one mellophone, one trombone, one sousaphone, one snare drum, one bass drum, one quadra-tom drum (five headed), and one cymbal.
All figures are a standard 1:32 scale or 54 millimeters tall (approximately two and a quarter inches), made of white metal, sculpted, cast, assembled and hand painted in England exclusively for the Little Band Man Company.
