Washington’s Guard Company – Standing with Ramrod

Model: AR082
Scale: 1/30
Finish: Matte

This 1/30 scale hand-painted figure portrays a soldier of Washington’s Life Guard—the elite corps formed in 1776 to protect General George Washington and the headquarters of the Continental Army. Depicted in the calm yet alert moment of reloading, this Guardsman stands with his musket upright and ramrod in hand, readying his next shot during the American Revolution.

The Commander-in-Chief’s Guard was established on March 11, 1776, at Cambridge, Massachusetts, drawing select men from every Continental regiment. Washington demanded that only “sober, intelligent, and reliable” soldiers be chosen for this distinguished corps. Beyond guarding Washington himself, they secured the Army’s funds, papers, and logistics — serving as a disciplined example of American professionalism throughout the war.

Wearing the Guard’s signature blue and buff uniform with red waistcoat, white crossbelts, and tall bearskin cap topped with a blue plume, this figure exemplifies both elegance and authenticity. Sculpted in fine detail and finished in matte paint, it complements any American Revolution display or diorama depicting the Continental Army’s defense of liberty.
