W. Britain has been casting metal soldiers since 1893, when William Britain Jr. revolutionized the hobby with the first hollow-cast figure. More than 130 years later, W. Britain — now based in Chillicothe, Ohio — remains one of the most collected names in toy soldiers, producing finely detailed, hand-painted 1/30 scale figures that span every significant era of military history.
