Washington's Bodyguard Drummer
This is toy soldier Washington's Bodyguard Drummer
This 1/30 scale Matte Finish 1 Piece Set is a must-have for any history buff or military enthusiast. Inspired by the role of Baron Friedrich Von Steuben as Inspector General of the Continental Army, this product showcases the standardization of military fife and drum signal calls during the American Revolution.
One unique aspect of this product is the decoration of the drum. Unlike the Federal Eagle device that would later become the accepted national emblem, there was no standard design for the drum's shell. However, a popular design at the time was a star field of 13 stars on a deep blue background. This design was often arranged in a circle, as seen on this product.
It is worth noting that even the star design itself was not standardized. While eight pointed stars were common, the six pointed 'German design' was favored over the five pointed 'Mullet' or English type. This attention to detail and historical accuracy makes the Washington's Bodyguard Drummer a unique and valuable addition to any collection.
