Confederate Casualty
This toy soldier, numbered 31485, represents a Confederate casualty from the American Civil War.
This conflict, known for its devastating toll on human life, remains the deadliest military conflict in U.S. history. While the exact number of casualties is still debated, it is estimated that between 620,000 to 750,000 individuals lost their lives during this war. Of these numbers, nearly 258,000 were Confederate soldiers.
The true extent of Southern losses may never be known, as many soldiers who were not killed outright on the battlefield succumbed to their wounds days or weeks later. The use of new technology, such as rifled barrels, Minié balls, and repeating firearms, contributed to the high number of battle deaths. Additionally, outdated tactics were still used, further increasing the casualties.
This toy soldier is a 1/30 scale and features a matte finish. It comes as a single figure in a box, making it a unique and collectible piece. Honor the memory of those who fought and lost their lives in the American Civil War with this Confederate Casualty toy soldier.
