Lt. Ronald Speirs of Easy Company, 506th PIR, 101st Airborne, was the kind of officer the rank and file argued about. He was decisively brave under fire — universally agreed — and at the same time the source of the unit's most contested rumors, including the Normandy POW story that has been retold and disputed in every account of the company's war. He jumped into Normandy on D-Day, fought through Holland with Operation Market Garden, held the line at Bastogne, and ended the war as commander of Easy Company after taking over from Lt. Norman Dike during the assault on Foy. His career continued long after WWII — Korea, then American Governor of Spandau Prison in Berlin, where Rudolf Hess and the other senior Nazi war criminals were held — until he retired as a lieutenant colonel.

This figure captures the moment Speirs is best known for: the assault on Foy, Belgium in January 1945. With Easy Company pinned down, he took command on the spot, attacked across the open ground, and famously kept running — straight through Foy and through the German lines on the far side of the village to make contact with I Company. The W. Britain sculpt shows him mid-run, Thompson submachine gun forward, in the moment that became the visual shorthand for Speirs in Band of Brothers. He pairs with the other Easy Company figures Breagans carries — Captain Dick Winters and SSG Darrell "Shifty" Powers — for a Band of Brothers display.

1/30 scale (60mm), matte-painted, single figure boxed. Catalog number 25151. As with the rest of the W. Britain modern range, the painting is photographic-quality detail intended to read well in dioramas and display cases.
