Model: CW139
Scale: 1/30
Finish: Matte
This highly detailed figure portrays Brigadier General Strong Vincent, one of the Union’s heroic leaders at Gettysburg. Originally a lawyer from Pennsylvania, Vincent quickly rose through the ranks during the Civil War, becoming commander of a brigade in the 1st Division, V Corps of the Army of the Potomac.
At Gettysburg in July 1863, Vincent famously moved his brigade to defend Little Round Top, a critical point on the Union left flank. While rallying his men atop a boulder, he was mortally wounded by a Confederate bullet. He died days later, having been promoted to brigadier general on his deathbed by General Meade.
This King & Country figure captures Vincent’s commanding presence, inspired by the statue that stands on the 83rd Pennsylvania’s monument at Little Round Top. With sword drawn and eyes turned toward the battle, he epitomizes courage and sacrifice in the face of overwhelming odds.
